San Luis Obispo City repairs water main
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- The City of San Luis Obispo announced the completion of a water main repair on Monday afternoon.
The City has completed repairs to a 24-inch water main and fully restored water service to impacted customers.
San Luis Obispo Utilities Deputy Director Mychal Boerman said:
"We thank our customers for their patience as our crews worked around-the-clock to make repairs."
The repair was made after City staff discovered a small leak in a 24-inch water main near highland Drive on Cal Poly's campus during their routine water infrastructure maintenance.
Officials say City staff members were able to assess the situation and developed the safest and quickest solution to repair the leak.
Customers with water service questions are encouraged to contact SLO City Utilities Department at 805-781-7215.
