Did you see unusual lights in the sky? SpaceX launches 60 mini satellites

KEYT rocket missile launch

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida - Another successful launch for SpaceX.

The company launched 60 mini satellites into space Monday morning. Which caused a lot of confusion for lots of sky gazers. Many reported seeing unusual lights or even aliens!

But not worry, It's the second batch of an orbiting network that will boost internet coverage around the globe.

The compact flat panel satellites are about 575 pounds.

The satellites were initially deployed at a lower orbit - at an altitude of about 174 miles - making them more visible on Earth. However, after company engineers review the initial data, the satellite thrusters will push them up to a higher orbit.

They will join 60 other satellites that were launched in May.

Elon Musk, SpaceX founder, wants to put thousands of these in orbit. He said it will offer high speed internet service everywhere.
