Santa Maria Police arrest DUI driver after crashing into light pole

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Santa Maria Officers were on scene of a hit and run traffic accident.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. on Depot and Sonia.

The suspects car took out a light pole and then the two people of the car fled the scene.

Officers later found the driver and passenger on foot near the area of Thornburg and Lolita.

Santa Maria Police arrested the driver for driving under the influence. (DUI)
