Car hits pedestrian in Santa Maria

The Santa Maria Department and American Medical Response are on scene of a car accident involving a pedestrian.

It happened on tee 300 block E Betteravia.

One person suffered serious injuries and is being taken to the local hospital.

The Santa Maria Police Department is investigating the accident and is asking residents to please avoid the area.
