National Park Service waiving entrance fees on Saturday

Looking for something to do on Saturday?

You can visit any National Park in the nation on Saturday, Sept. 28 as part of National Public Lands Day.

It’s one of five days in 2019 where park admission is free to everyone.

There are more than 400 National Parks in the country and the National Parks Service says these days are a great opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite.

California has nine National Parks and even more National Monuments and Historic Sites. For a complete list of locations in the state, click here.

Entrance fees on Saturday are waived but any fees involving camping, boat launches, transportation or special tours are still full price.

The fifth and final free entrance day is Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
