CAL FIRE: no drowning victim found at Lake Nacimiento

Firefighters say no drowning victim was located at Lake Nacimiento Friday, following an extensive search at the popular lake.

CAL FIRE first tweeted around 12:45 p.m. that there had been a “possible drowning” near the marina.

A helicopter was dispatched to the area to help in the search efforts.

Shortly after 2 p.m., CAL FIRE announced search and rescue crews were unable to locate a victim. All of the campgrounds in the area were also searched.

Firefighters said everyone had been accounted for and the search was called off.
