Gala raises $500k in support of French Hospital in San Luis Obispo

An annual celebration raised more than $500,000 for the French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo.

The hospital announced the total money raised in a press release issued Thursday afternoon.

The 14th Annual Celebration of Caring Gala took place on August 24 at the ACI Jet Center in San Luis Obispo.

The celestially themed event called Written in the Stars.

The fundraiser was all in support of the BEYOND health fundraising campaign for the Your New French Hospital expansion project.

The project will add a four-story patient care tower with private patient rooms, enhanced services, advanced technology and more.

Since 2006, the Gala has raised more than $3,300,000 to support the French Hospital Medical Center patient programs and services.

Rick Stollmeyer, CEO of MINDBODY was honored with the 2019 Louis Tendone MD Humanitarian Award.

During the Gala, the Stollmeyers surprised the crowd of 300 by announcing a matching gift of $250,00 for funds raised at the gala.
