Police identify woman suspected of grand theft
The Santa Barbara Police Department says it identified a woman suspected of grand theft at a local boutique.
The woman was captured on camera committing the felony theft. Police say she waited for the sole employee to be distracted and dumped jewelry in her purse.
The business lost about $5,000 from this theft.
The police department says no further public assistance is needed.
