Car smashes through Santa Maria business, driver flees
The Santa Maria Fire Department was called to the 500 block of West Main Street Tuesday morning after a car slammed into the front of a business. The accident happened around 5:20 a.m.
The vehicle ended up through and partially inside the glass windows that face the street. At this point it is not clear what kind of business this is. The unit nextdoor belongs to Santa Maria Glass Company. Both business are on the corner of W. Main and Curryer Street.
Fire officials say no one was injured at the scene. But the driver of the vehicle did take off, leaving his vehicle behind. No suspects have been found, according to police.
