Another Cal Poly fraternity facing investigation
Another Cal Poly fraternity is facing an investigation by the university. It’s the latest problem facing the embattled Greek system.
On Tuesday, Phi Kappa Psi was placed under probation and the fraternity will be forced to suspend all activities where alcohol may be present.
The temporary social probation does not restrict the chapter from participating in intramural sports, recruitment activities, philanthropic events, or alumni-related events that do not have alcohol present.
The university will now investigate whether or not the fraterntiy violated any laws or university policy involving alcohol, hazing, conspiracy to haze, or endangerment.
Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity was disaffiliated from the university earlier this year and the Sigma Pi fraternity was suspended back in January.
