Two men arrested and a firearm recovered in search warrant raid in Santa Barbara

Members of the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested two men in Santa Barbara on Wednesday in connection to arrest warrants, firearm possession, and other offenses.

The Narcotics Unit along with the Compliance Response Team (CRT) served a search warrant on the 4500 block of Oak Glen Drive where Alfredo Gonzalez, 37, had recently moved to.

According to officials, Gonzales had several arrest warrants for stalking and violation of a domestic violence criminal protective order. He was inside the residence and officers were able to arrest him.

Mathew Johnson, 37, Raul Ramirez, 31, and Marilu Lucatero , 32, were also contacted by officers.

Officers found several pieces of stolen property while searching the home, drug paraphernalia and a 12-gauge shotgun inside Johnson’s bedroom.

Based on Johnson’s history of narcotics abuse, his possession of the shotgun was a penal code violation, according to officials.

Alfredo Gonzales was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on his three arrest warrants and is being held on $320,000 bail.

Matthew Johnson was also booked and is being held on $35,000 bail. Johnson could face possible charges of addict possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, and receiving stolen property.

Raul Ramirez and Marilu Lucatero were cited for being under the influence of a controlled substance but were released.
