Ski season extended thanks to epic snow conditions

Spring skiing and snowboarding season will continue through Memorial Day Weekend holiday at Heavenly Mountain Resort in Lake Tahoe.

The popular ski area, which is owned by Vail Resorts, will be open daily through April 28, and then weekends through Memorial Day.

The area has received more than a foot of snow in the past few days.

It is part of the Epic Pass.
