Santa Barbara police looking for suspect in November bar attack

The Santa Barbara Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify and locate a suspect in a November attack that seriously injured a Santa Barbara man.

It happened on early morning on November 7, 2018, neat the back of O’Malley’s Bar at 523 State St.

The victim and suspect did not know each other and it’s unclear what motivated the attack.

The suspect was described as a black man between 30 and 40 years old with a light complexion and freckles. He’s about 5-foot-8 with a large build and long black hair with cornrows. It’s possible that the suspect goes by Mike or Michael.

He was accompanied by a black man possibly known by the name Kenny.

Anyone with information about the suspects or the attack is asked to contact Detective Andre Miller at the Santa Barbara Police Department at 805-897-2346.
