Santa Maria Raceway gets new look and name
The new owners of Santa Maria Raceway have unveiled a brand new name and look for the racetrack Friday.
Nick & Allison Duggan bought the racetrack in 2018 and are excited about the new project.
“We’re thrilled to present Stadium805, as the newest and largest event center on the Central Coast,” said Nick Duggan. “We’ll be bringing concerts, beer and wine fests, racing shows and many other large venue events to the area that have not been here before.”
According to the Duggans, they have also partnered with Firestone Walker 805 Brewing Company as the premier Stadium805 sponsor.
The stadium has a seating capacity for approximately 4,000 guests but can also fit 10,000-12,000 standing guests which makes it the largest capacity venue in the Central Coast, according to a press release.
“Easy highway access will allow for smooth flow of traffic and bring visitors from all over, which creates more tourists and revenue to the surrounding cities ” says General Manager David Castaneda.
There will be 10 races and two full weekends of All-Star Monster Truck shows this year, according to Castaneda. The stadium will also host Latino bull riding and music events as well as a ‘Halloween Smash.’
The racetrack is located in Nipomo on Highway 101 and Highway 166. For more information about Stadium805, contact David Castaneda.
This is not the first business venture the Duggans have taken over on the Central Coast. They also own Mustang Waterpark at Lopez Lake in San Luis Obispo County.
