Early morning fire damages Lompoc home

A Lompoc home suffered major damage in an early morning structure fire Thursday.

According to the Lompoc Fire Department, firefighters responded to a burning home on the 400 block of South O Street just after 4:15 a.m. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire in less than 20 minutes.

Crews made an aggressive intereior attack and searched the home. No one was inside the home at the time.

Santa Barbara County Fire and Vandenberg Fire Department assisted with the response.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation, fire officials said.
