Ventura Beach RV Resort evacuations lifted

UPDATE: Thursday 1:45 p.m.

Ventura police announced that evacuation orders at Ventura Beach RV Resort were lifted at 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

VENTURA, Calif. – The Ventura Beach RV resort will be under mandatory evacuation Wednesday evening due to an expected storm that could bring potential flooding.

Anyone staying at the RV park, located at 800 W. Main St., will need to be evacuated by 10 p.m.

The ecacuation order will remain in place until 4 p.m. Thursday.

West Main Street at Garden Street will be closed during the evacuation window.

Rain and strong winds are expected throughout Wednesday and Thursday. Sand and sandbags are available to residents at the Ventura Public Works Maintenance Yard at 336 Sanjon Road.
