The California Department of Transportation is set to replace the Salsipuedes Creek bridge on Highway 1 near Lompoc. The project will begin on Monday, Feb. 11.

One-way reversing traffic control with a temporary signal will be in place 24 hours a day when the project begins. Lane closures on Highway 1 will also be in place between Santa Rosa Road and Jalama Road through Friday Feb 8.

Delays are not expected to exceed 15 minutes.

Plans for the project also include the construction of a retaining wall and fish passage.

CalPortland Construction of Santa Maria is the contractor on the $5 million project. It is expected to be fully completed in June of 2021.
