Group attacked, robbed in Ventura parking structure

An investigation is underway after a small group of people were attacked in a parking structure early Thursday morning.

According to the Ventura Police Department, officers responded just before 12:30 a.m. to reports of a fight that broke out in a parking structure in the 500 block of Santa Clara Street with one person bleeding. A small group of people were allegedly approached by another group of Hispanic males and Hispanic females. The suspect group began asking the victims where they were from and then attacked them.

During the altercation, three victims were punched and a fourth victim was stabbed in the torso by one of the attackers who also stole his cell phone, police said.

The victims who were punched suffered minor injuries and were treated on scene by paramedics. The victim who was stabbed is currently in stable condition at a local hospital.
