Lockdown lifted at New Harvest Christian Academy

The lockdown at New Harvest Christian Academy has been lifted. Oxnard police had been searching the surrounding neighborhood for an armed man, according to a parent at the school.

Oxnard police said they called off the search because the suspect fled.

New Harvest Christian Academy is on lockdown as police in Oxnard search neighboring streets.

The academy is located in the 700 block of S D Street in Oxnard.

We called the school and the office staff confirmed a lockdown but had no further information. Witnesses at the school said there were several police officers and a K9 unit searching the area.
