Several changes possibly coming to Santa Barbara City Council

The Santa Barbara City Council that ended 2018 will not be the same look in a year.

2019 will see changes.

Gregg Hart is moving on to a seat with the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors. His post will be filled with an appointment by the council in February.

Later this year that District 6 position will be up for a full vote of the people in that area of the city and the winner will be sworn into office in January of 2019.

Councilman Randy Rowse will step down after this year due to term limits and his seat is up for a vote in November as well. He is in District 2 which is in an area that includes the Mesa.
