One victim found dead after shooting in Oxnard

(Update 11:48 p.m.): One victim has died following a shooting in Oxnard Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the 1400 block of West Date Street to find a victim lying in on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound at approximately 11:59 p.m.

Emergency crew workers tried reviving the victim, but he died at the scene.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Oxnard police.

The city of Oxnard is offering a $10,000 reward to any information leading to an arrest and conviction of anyone connected to any homicides in the city.

Officers are on the scene of a homicide in Oxnard.

At around 8 pm on Tuesday police were called to the 1400 block of West Date St.

Police say Major Crimes investigators are on scene conducting the investigation.

Road closures are in effect on the frontage road of Ventura Rd., expect traffic delays.
