Returns and sales keep shoppers busy on the day after Christmas

Shoppers said there is no shame in returning gifts on the day after Christmas.

In addition to returning gift they didn’t like, they had a chance to buy items they wanted that had just gone on sale.

Scott Sinclair said he was returning a belt that wasn’t the right size of style that his sister bought him. She was with him and didn’t seem to mind. They were enjoying spending time together at the Paseo Nuevo in Santa Barbara.

They also celebrate Boxing Day, which they described as a big day of giving and shopping in the United Kingdom on the day after Christmas.

Many people carried gift bags full of exchanges and new items they bought for themselves.

Although it can cost stores more to restock eturned items, businesses usually sell more once customers step foot inside their brick and mortar stores.
