Transformer sparks fire and outage on Christmas night
Transformer explosions sparked a small fire and caused a power outage in Santa Barbara on Christmas night.
It happened off Las Alturas Rd. before 9 p.m.
One resident said he had to evacuate his mother.
Jeffrey Beth said it looked like sparklers.
He plans to go to a hotel until the power is restored.
