Work completed on Olive Mill Road bridge after January flooding

Olive Mill Road construction is complete after suffering damage from the Montecito flooding in January.

The project was done in four months and cost an estimated $1.7 million.

U-S Highway 101 was also resurfaced in the areas submerged by debris in January, according to an official with Caltrans.

Olive Mill Road is now fully open to two-way traffic over U-S 101 following the one-way traffic control which was in place throughout the repair process.

For traffic updates in Santa Barbara County, motorists may call Caltrans District 5 Public Affairs at 805-549-3318 or can visit their website: http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist05/paffairs/release.htm#sb
