Police ask for the public’s help in suspicious missing person investigation

Police in Ventura are asking for the community’s help to find a 22-year-old man who was last seen Sunday, Dec. 16.

Family members of Jesus Robles-Calzada say he was last seen leaving his home on the west side of Ventura at around 8 a.m. and was expected to return at noon.

After multiple attempts to contact Calzada police say his family filed a missing person report, and told officers Calzada did not take any clothing or personal items that indicated he was going anywhere for an extended period of time.

On Dec. 19, California Highway Patrol located Calzada’s abandoned vehicle near U-S highway 101 east of El Capitan State Beach.

Aerial and ground searches have been unsuccessful.

If anyone has seen or knows the whereabouts of Calzada, call Detective Hibdon of the Ventura Police Department at 805-339-4400.
