Woman accused of taking a bat to 15 Motel 6 windows

Morro Bay Police are called to a Motel 6 after a woman breaks several motel room windows with a bat.

It happened Wednesday, Dec. 19th around 6:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Atascadero Road.

When officers arrived guests staying at the motel told them a woman carrying a silver and red aluminum bat was taking out guest windows and had headed on foot towards Lila Keizer Park.

According to officers when they found the suspect who has been identified as Jamie Leighann Jordan she was still carrying the silver and red bat.

They said they ordered Jordan to drop the bat multiple times, and instead of complying, she came towards police. At that time one officer drew his gun and continued to warn Jordan to stop, which she ignored.

A second officer pulled out a taser and turned it on but did not tase the suspect. Jordan stopped and dropped the bat, according to police.

Jordan is accused of destroying 15 windows at Motel 6 causing an estimated $6000 worth of damage.

She has been booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail.

No motive was given for what initiated the violent episode.
