Local attorney reacts to latest priest abuse investigation in Ilinois

Santa Barbara attorney Timothy Hale was not surprised by the priest abuse investigation revelations in Illinois.

He said the investigation is revealing hundreds of cases the church has not reported.

Hale said the case that found at least 500 more suspects looks at parishes and the people who work in the Catholic churches across the state.

He said it is important for people to know victims are both girls and boys and suspects are both men and women.

Hale has represented local victims in similar cases.
