Santa Barbara sinks San Marcos in water polo upset

JuJu Martinez Do Amaral scored a game-high 5 goals and keeper Faith Tedesco made 12 saves as Santa Barbara High School surprised San Marcos 7-5 in a Channel League girls water polo contest.

The visiting Royals are the defending CIF Division 1 champion and entered the game ranked #6 this year.

Ella Prentice scored two goals for San Marcos who built up a 3-1 second quarter lead before JuJu and Tedesco led the Dons comeback.
