Driver plows into road sign and flees scene
The California Highway Patrol is searching for a driver who fled the scene after he plowed into a road sign in Goleta.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was reported 2 a.m. The driver reportedly lost control on the freeway off ramp at Turnpike Road and crashed into a road sign. When officers arrived, the driver was no where to be found.
The driver is described as a 5’5″ male last seen wearing a white shirt and light colored pants running towards Hollister Avenue, CHP said.
It is unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved. CHP wants to remind drivers to be careful on slick roads.
