“The Perfect Firestorm; The Thomas Fire Story” screens at Museum of Ventura County
December is the one year anniversary of the Thomas Fire and a documentary called The Perfect Firestorm is out.
Caps Media created the film and has screened it several times at the Museum of Ventura County.
The one-hour documentary includes interviews and video from Thomas Fire survivors including some who lost everything.
It also includes interviews with firefighters who explained how they saved lives and volunteers who helped in the aftermath..
Participants said it was cathartic.
A firefighter and a woman killed in a rollover accident died during the fire that burned from early December to mid-January.
For a brief period of time is was the largest wildfire in California history.
