Santa Maria Police search for armed gunman in robbery investigation

Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect who robbed a Santa Maria business Friday evening.

They released a surveillance photo of the suspect who is described by police as a white or Hispanic man, in his early twenties, and about 5’5″ with a medium build.

Police were called to the 300 block of South Blosser Road around 5:40 p.m. Once there they learned the business had been robbed at gunpoint and the suspect had already fled.

The masked gunman held the clerk at gunpoint while he demanded a large amount of money. The clerk was uninjured.
