Storm readiness meeting held in Montecito

First responders and the Disaster Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the National Weather Service met with Montecito residents on Wednesday night.

Eric Boldt said the technology allows the NWS to pinpoint a window of time when storms will be heavy.

He said he was impressed by the people who showed up and asked questions.

Boldt said a brief dry spell will be followed by stormy weather in January.

The latest Storm Readiness meeting took place at Montecito Union High School.

Volunteers plan to deliver information door to door on Saturday morning.

Volunteers are being asked to meet at MUS between 8:30 and 9 a.m. on Saturday.
