UCSB shakes off slow start to beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff

Though not always pretty, UC Santa Barbara did enough for another win at home.

UCSB shook off a sluggish first half and played well defensively in a 55-45 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday night.

The Gauchos (7-2) remained a perfect 4-0 at home and have now won six of their last seven games. Amadou Sow led the team with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Devearl Ramsey added 10.

Martaveous McKnight led all scorers with 22 points for the Golden Lions (2-7), but no one else scored more than seven points for Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

UCSB now takes a short break for final exams. The Gauchos are back in action next Saturday at Rice.
