SeaVees and Soles4Souls donate shoes to survivors of California’s wildfires
A new round of donations is going out in hopes of helping survivors of California’s recent wildfires make steps toward progress.
Santa Barbara-based SeaVees has teamed up with the Tennessee non-profit, Soles4Souls, and donated more than 1,000 pairs of tennis shoes.
Staffers recently spent hours boxing up the shoes and shipping them out from the company lot in downtown Santa Barbara.
Men, women and children impacted by both the Paradise Camp Fire in Butt County in Northern California and the Hill and Woolsey Fires in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties in Southern California will receive a new pair of the tennis shoes.
SeaVees staff say the fires affected the company’s immediate community, families and friends. Donating shoes is one way the 50-year-old local company is helping people in the communities impacted rebuild.
