Seven people displaced following structure fire in Ventura

Seven people were displaced following a structure fire in Ventura Monday evening.

According to the Ventura City Fire Department, firefighters responded just after 8:30 p.m. Monday to multiple reports of a structure fire in a condo complex on Cambria Avenue. The fire arriving engine reported on a single-story structure engulfed in flames.

Firefighters knocked down the fire in just over a half hour. The building was heavily damaged by the fire, rendering it uninhabitable. Adjoining structures were also damaged. Seven adults from the complex were assisted by the Red Cross, firefighters said.

The cause of the fire is unclear.

No other injuries were reported.
