High Five! Gauchos make it 5 straight wins

UCSB outrebounded Sacramento State 40-23 and held the previously undefeated Hornets to under 41 percent shooting as the Gauchos won 75-58 to notch their fifth straight victory.

Amadou Sow and Armond Davis each scored 14 points to lead the Gauchos while JaQuori McLaughlin added 13 as UCSB improved to 6-1.

Last year’s First Team All-Big West performer Max Heidegger did not play again despite returning to practice this week.

He has missed all seven games this year after suffering a concussion before the season. He will travel to Washington where the Gauchos play the Huskies on Sunday.

Sacramento State, which had beat Big West teams Cal State Fullerton and UC Davis, fell to 3-1 on the year.
