Warming center to open in Grover Beach as rain continues falling on Central Coast

Adults seeking shelter from the rain are invited to come to the Warming Center Thursday night, Nov. 29, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day.

5Cities Homeless Coalition is spearheading the operation of the Warming Center. The center will be located at the Hillside Church in Grover Beach at 1935 Newport Avenue.

Organizers say anyone in need of shelter will be able to sleep at the Warming Center and receive a hot meal. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed. Sleeping cots and bedding will be provided as well.

Guests are asked to arrive after 5 p.m. and no later than 8 p.m. The center will close by 7 a.m. each morning.
