Righetti falls in CIF Championship game at Tulare Union

Righetti could not dig out of an early 17-0 second quarter deficit and lost at Tulare Union 45-30 in the CIF Central Section Division 2 championship game.

Nathan Lamb threw five touchdown passes as The Tribe improved to 13-0 on the season.

After trailing 17-7 the half, the Warriors got down 31-7 in the third quarter.

Righetti’s offense got going in the second half with touchdown runs from Adan Solis, Kidasi Nepa and Brandon Giddings.

The Warriors finish the year 10-3 in their first season in the CIF Central Section after moving from the CIF Southern Section.
