‘Showers of Blessing’ provide Thanksgiving meal in Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara’s less fortunate residents were treated to a hot Thanksgiving dinner Thursday.

The ‘Showers of Blessing’ ministry spent that last two weeks organizing a meal and shower opportunity for the homeless.

The Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara provided the venue and dozens of volunteers to set up and serve food.

Guests got to enjoy food prepared and donated in part by Chef Michael Hutchings and his wife Christine Dahl.

The Organic Soup Kitchen provided the mashed potatoes, Ethnic Bread in Goleta supplied slices of bread and The Berry Man also contributed food to make this dinner possible.

Showers of Blessing Executive Director, Ken Ralph was happy to extend this “warm embrace” to those that may not have a home to get a meal.
