Paso Robles armed takeover bank robbery suspects arrested
Authorities have arrested three men accused of robbing a Chase Bank in Paso Robles on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018.
The Paso Robles Police Department says Edward Ivan Ochoa, 30, Jose Christian Ramirez, 29, and Luis Rios Rico, 21, entered the Chase Bank located at 194 Niblick Road armed with weapons and initiated a takeover that resulted in a bank employee receiving an eye injury when one of the robbers struck him with a rifle.
All three suspects escaped before police arrived. However, a suspect and vehicle description was sent out by the Paso Robles Police Department dispatch to surrounding agencies and eventually, a California Highway Patrol officer spotted the suspect vehicle traveling at least 100 mph, according to authorities.
CHP officers were able to stop the suspects and took all three men into custody. Ochoa, Ramirez, and Rico were booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail for robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping with intent to commit robbery, conspiracy, providing false information to a police officer, and parole hold.
