Authorities offering $10,000 reward for information leading to cause of Hill Fire
As firefighters reach 100% containment on the Hill Fire burning in Ventura County, investigators are actively working to determine what caused the blaze.
A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to a possible responsible party regarding the wildland fires.
Investigators have ruled out all potential causes for the Hill Fire, other than human activity, according to fire officials.
Authorities are putting their primary focus in the Hill Canyon Trail area located in the Santa Rosa Valley, off Hill Canyon Road and Santa Rosa Road, Thousand Oaks — at the fire’s reported origin.
The investigative team would like anyone who was in the area of Hill Canyon Trail on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, between 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
