Late night shootings leave one dead and two injured in Santa Maria

Police are investigating a string of late night shootings in Santa Maria that left one person dead and two people wounded.

Santa Maria received a call on Friday about a possible person injured at 1240 West Bethel Lane around 11:32 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a dead man later identified as Salomon Morales-Robles, with multiple gunshot wounds.

Just a few minutes later, Police received another call for a disturbance in the 1900 block of South Ybarra around 12:07 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two victims with gunshot wounds. Both people were transported to an area hospital where they were treated for their wounds. Both are expected to survive.

During the investigation, officers located and detained three male juveniles. One of them was arrested for homicide, attempted murder, firing a handgun causing death, and gang enhancement.

This case is still under investigation.
