Colorful movie set look highlighted Halloween at American Riviera Bank

Grease was the word at the American Rivera Bank in Santa Barbara on Halloween.

Just taking one step into the building at 1030 Anacapa Street in downtown and it was like going into a time machine or right into the classic movie from the 1970’s with Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta.

The film was even showing on a TV in the lobby.

It was right next to a cotton candy machine and an array of decorations.

Each teller counter had employee work areas had pink and white balloons, vinyle records, big containers of candy, and steps away a working popcorn machine.

The crew spent hours working on the look and customers came through the door with eyes lighting up above their smiling faces.

To some it looked like a 1950’s sock hop was about to begin.

Customers also got to vote on several custom pumpkins that were in a carving contest.

In other departments, bank employees had a pirate ship theme and others were dressed as superheroes.

The 50’s theme was the soundtrack for the day and no doubt some customers tapped their toes during transactions.
