Community vigil held to mourn Pittsburgh synagogue shooting victims

Members of the Jewish Community joined the Coalition to End Gun Violence and the Youth Council during a vigil on Monday night in Santa Barbara’s De La Guerra Plaza.

They held candles and a moment of silence for the 11 people shot to death while attending the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA, on Saturday morning.

Congregation B’nai B’rith will be hosting a similar solidarity event at 1000 San Antonia Creek Rd. in Santa Barbara on Tuesday evening.

Rabbi Steve Cohen said members of all faiths are welcome to the event that begins at 7:30 p.m.
