Financial help on the way for small business hit by recent disasters

Some financial help is now available for small business owners economically impacted by the Thomas Fire and Montecito Mudslide.

Women’s Economic Ventures (WEV) in Santa Barbara is offering $450,000 worth of grants to eligible businesses in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties.

The money was donated by Wells Fargo for recovery grants of up to $10,000.

Examples of economic hardship include:

-Lost revenue due to closures and/or changed and disrupted customer patterns
-Suspension of operations
-Plant, property, and equipment damages
-Damaged inventory
-Other direct/indirect costs relating to the disasters

WEV is accepting applications until November 16 or until 150 applications are received.
