UCSB men’s soccer surges past Cal State Northridge to stay perfect at home

UCSB men’s soccer scored three goals in a seven-minute stretch in the second half as the Gauchos topped Cal State Northridge 3-0 at Harder Stadium on Saturday night.

Kaya Fabretti broke the scoreless tie in the 51st minute for the Gauchos (9-6-1), who moved to 8-0 at home. Rodney Michael then scored his team-leading seventh goal of the season in the 55th minute.

Hunter Ashworth finished the scoring three minutes later with a header off a cross from Noah Billingsley.

Henrik Regitnig made three saves for the Matadors (8-7-1).

UCSB hosts Cal Poly next Saturday in its next and final game of the regular season. The Mustangs beat the Gauchos 1-0 in San Luis Obispo last month.
