“We’re always on top in selling lottery tickets people come from
everywhere,” said Touni Asaad, owner of Allan’s Market & Lotto.
Asaad has run Allan’s for 18 years. He says lines usually wrap out the door
when a jackpot gets this big.
“It’s usually packed here,” said Asaad. “People want to try their luck.”
“This is the lucky store, so that’s why we come here,” said Maricela
Preciado.
Asaad says he expects to sell 20 thousand tickets by the end of the night.
“Everyone is trying to get that winning ticket,” said Neva Gutierrez.
If a winning ticket is sold at Allan’s liquor shop, Asaad could receive a
prize of up to $1 million.
