Santa Barbara police show off singing and dancing skills in Lip Sync Challenge video

The Santa Barbara Police Department has released their video version of the Lip Sync Challenge and boy does the creativity flow in this medley mash-up of tunes.

The video features an array of iconic locations around Santa Barbara such as Stearns Wharf, the Santa Barbara Harbor, Santa Barbara County Courthouse, the Presidio, and Old Mission Santa Barbara.

The video also includes a special cameo from local celebrity and music superstar Kenny Loggins driving a DeLorean and dressed similarly to ‘Marty McFly’ in an homage to the “Back to the Future” franchise.

Santa Barbara police were challenged by Oxnard police to the lip sync battle about two months back and production began almost immediately.

Police departments from around the U.S. have been challenging one another to lip sync battles and some of their videos have actually gone viral. Videos showcasing the dancing skills of those who protect and serve began appearing on social media as early as June 2018.

The Santa Barbara Police Department has said that this Lip Sync Challenge was a long time coming.
