Santa Barbara Cottage ready to open new Children’s Medical Center
Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital has completed the final stages of reconstruction. Soon new-born premature babies will be cared for in the new Children’s Medical Center.
The three-story pavilions bring more than 90 additional beds to the hospital. The hospital’s president says families were always in mind during the reconstruction.
New x-ray and emergency rooms have also been added to the new pavilions.
The $820 million price tag for this project was all funded by local donations and grants.
Patients will begin using the new pavilions starting November 4, 2018.
