Family Fun Run to benefit Ventura County Food Share

Looking for a good workout? In a beautiful place? Helping a local charity? If you said yes, then the first ever Dole 5K Family Fun Run/Walk is the perfect event for you!

On Saturday October 27, before the professional golfers play the second round of the Invesco QQQ Championship at Sherwood Country Club, runners and walkers will be out on the course supporting Food Share. Food Share is the Ventura County food bank, providing 12 million pounds of food to the community every year.

According to Food Share, one-in-six people in Ventura County are considered food insecure. Meaning, they don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

“The need is always there,” said Food Share’s Monica White.
